
Caitlin Pearson
Caitlin Pearson received her Bachelor’s Degree in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences from San Diego State University. She was an Undergraduate Research Assistant in the LLCN, and is continuing her work as a Research Assistant post-graduation. She’s been involved in a multi‑year project focused on developing new language and cognitive assessment tools to improve early detection of Alzheimer’s Disease in Deaf signing adults. She also supports EEG and co-registration studies investigating the cognitive and neural mechanisms supporting reading in Deaf adults. She is deeply passionate about accessibility and equity for the D/deaf, particularly in healthcare and education. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, hiking, and spending time with loved ones.
